Information we collect

We collect only the information needed to provide and secure your account and to run the game. This may include:

• Authentication information: when you sign in with Google, Discord, or Twitch, we receive the provider account identifier, email address, display name, and profile image information that the provider makes available. We may also store whether the email has been verified.
• Account and profile information: your session information and any username or optional avatar you choose to add.
• Game information: teams, rosters, games, and other game activity associated with your account.
• Technical information: cookies and similar session technologies needed to keep you signed in, protect the service, and maintain its security. Your browser or hosting infrastructure may also provide limited technical information such as an IP address or user-agent string.

How we use information

We use information to:

• authenticate you and maintain your account and sessions;
• provide, personalize, and secure the game;
• display profiles, teams, and game activity as intended by the service;
• moderate user-submitted names and profile content; and
• troubleshoot, maintain, and improve the service.

Authentication providers

Sign-in is provided through Google, Discord, or Twitch. When you choose one of these providers, that provider processes your information under its own privacy policy and shares the account information needed to complete authentication. We do not receive or store your provider password.

Sharing and sale of information

We do not sell your personal information. We will not otherwise provide your personal information to third parties for advertising, marketing, or their own independent use. Information may be processed by the authentication, hosting, database, and storage providers that are necessary to operate RNG Baseball; those providers may process information only to provide services to us and under their own applicable policies.

We may disclose information when required by law, to protect the security of the service or its users, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or other transfer of the service.

Your choices

You can stop using the service at any time and can manage information shared by your authentication provider through that provider. To request access, correction, or deletion of information associated with your account, contact the site operator through the project's support channel. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

Data security and retention

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. We retain account, session, profile, and game information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements, unless you request deletion where applicable.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of RNG Baseball after an update means that you acknowledge the revised policy.
